Fury Warrior is the dual-wield damage spec in WoW: Forever, and Blizzard wants Warriors to be "the kings of cleave". This is the complete level 10–60 guide: the talent order for every level (with the places where the guides disagree), Rage, what you train, weapons, dungeons and the level-60 builds. It follows our Warrior starter guide and the Arms guide. The beta capped at level 30 and closed Oct 23. Fury was rebuilt on Oct 2, so anything written before then is out of date. Levels 1–30 are checked against Blizzard's notes through the Oct 15 build and the Oct 16 hotfixes. Levels 31–60 come from the game's client data and from guide authors' theorycraft, and nobody has played them. WoW Forever DB says plainly that Fury "has no tested route yet". Launch dates (Blizzard): character creation and name reservation opens Oct 27, the game launches Nov 4, 2026 (3:00 p.m. Pacific per Blizzard's announcement), and the first raids (Barrow Deeps for 10, Hyjal Summit for 20 and Onyxia's Lair for 40, which needs the Drakefire attunement) unlock on Dec 9.
At a glance
- Role: melee damage, and the cleave spec. Dual-wields from level 20 (WoW Forever DB)
- Armor and resource: mail, then plate at 40; Rage
- Stance: Berserker Stance from the level 30 class quest. stillsixty says it means taking 10% more damage and that it no longer lowers your threat
- Key levels: Cruelty at 10, Death Wish at 30, Whirlwind at 36, Pummel at 38, Bloodthirst at 40 (earliest), Recklessness at 50. Dual spec and plate also arrive at 40
- Biggest source disagreement: whether you get Bloodthirst at 40 or at 49. See "Where the guides differ"
- Our Warrior guides: Warrior starter, Arms and Protection, all on this board
Why Fury, and what to know before you commit
- Strengths (WoW Forever DB, stillsixty): dual-wield damage from level 20, Whirlwind and Cleave for packs (Whirlwind now always hits with both weapons, and Raging Blows makes it and Cleave 3 Rage cheaper), Bloodthirst and Whirlwind as strong Rage spenders, and 100% more Rage from basic-attack crits.
- Weaknesses: it's weak before 20 while you're still on a two-hander, Flurry comes late (35 at the earliest, or 30 with all five Talented points), and your off-hand misses far more often (WoW Forever DB). That makes hit an important gear stat.
- Berserker Stance and Death Wish cost you. stillsixty says Berserker Stance means taking 10% more damage, and Death Wish adds 5% more while it lasts.
- Two-handed Fury lost ground. Unbridled Wrath no longer doubles for two-handers (WoW Forever DB).
- Is it a good leveling spec? The sources split. stillsixty says Cruelty and Unbridled Wrath make every level from 10 to 19 faster, with Death Wish at 30, and that Fury levels with a two-hander. WoW Forever DB says Fury "was reworked for leveling but has no tested route yet". Elitistgaming gives Fury a full 10–60 route, and TopBuilds does too.
Talent order by level (Fury, 10–60)
Four sites published orders, and they agree on the first 19 points: Cruelty 5/5, then Unbridled Wrath 5/5. Elitistgaming and TopBuilds also agree on the three milestones: Death Wish at 30, Flurry at 35–39, Bloodthirst at 40. That works only if all of your first 31 points go into Fury, because Bloodthirst needs 30 Fury points (WoW Forever DB). Below is Elitistgaming's order (build 70338, updated Oct 18), which ends at 19/32/0 with no respec. Tooltips are from WoW Forever DB's client 70532 unless noted.
| Level | Talent | Tree | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10–14 | Cruelty 5/5 | Fury | +5% melee crit |
| 15–19 | Unbridled Wrath 5/5 | Fury | 60% chance per hit for 1 Rage. Works with any weapon, so it helps before you have two |
| 20–22 | Blood Craze 3/3 | Fury | Heals 1–3% of your health over 6 sec after you're crit or take a hit for more than 20% of your health. Doesn't trigger from Bloodthirst |
| 23 | Piercing Howl | Fury | 10 Rage: a 50% slow for 6 sec on everything within 10 yds. Your answer to runners |
| 24 | Furious Precision 1/3 | Fury | Off-hand hit. Up to +10% at 3/3 |
| 25–29 | Dual Wield Specialization 5/5 | Fury | +25% off-hand damage, and more off-hand Rage (client says +10–50%; see "Still unclear") |
| 30 | Death Wish | Fury | +20% Physical damage and Fear immunity for 30 sec, you take 5% more. 3-min cooldown |
| 31–34 | Enrage 4/5 | Fury | 30% chance when hit: more Physical damage for 12 sec |
| 35–39 | Flurry 5/5 | Fury | +25% attack speed for 3 swings. Needs Death Wish |
| 40 | Bloodthirst | Fury | Your main attack: 30 Rage, 6-sec cooldown, 45% of Attack Power plus a flat amount |
| 41–43 | Improved Heroic Strike 3/3 | Arms | Heroic Strike costs 3 less Rage at 3/3 |
| 44–45 | Deflection 2/5 | Arms | Arms row 1, more parry |
| 46–50 | Improved Tactical Mastery 5/5 | Arms | Keep up to 15 more Rage (25 in all) when you change stance |
| 51 | Anger Management | Arms | 1 Rage every 3 sec in combat, and 30% less Rage lost out of combat |
| 52–54 | Improved Rend 3/3 | Arms | 12/23/35% more Rend damage. Needed for Deep Wounds |
| 55–57 | Deep Wounds 3/3 | Arms | Crits bleed for 60% of weapon damage over 12 sec |
| 58–59 | Impale 2/2 | Arms | Needs Deep Wounds |
| 60 | Enrage 5/5 | Fury | The last point |
The rows open every 5 levels. Row 2 (Unbridled Wrath, Lingering Rage) opens at 15, row 3 (Furious Precision, Piercing Howl, Blood Craze) at 20, row 4 (Dual Wield Specialization, Enrage, Raging Blows) at 25, row 5 (Death Wish) at 30 and row 6 (Flurry) at 35. With the Talented legacy perk, every step comes up to five levels sooner.
TopBuilds' order (updated Oct 24)
TopBuilds' order ends at 18 Arms and 33 Fury. It skips Blood Craze, Furious Precision and Dual Wield Specialization altogether and spends 20–29 on Lingering Rage and Enrage instead.
| Levels | Talent | Rank reached | Tree | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10–14 | Cruelty | 5/5 | Fury | +5% melee crit at 5/5. Crits give 100% more Rage on basic attacks since Oct 2 |
| 15–19 | Unbridled Wrath | 5/5 | Fury | 12–60% chance per hit for 1 Rage. It no longer doubles for two-handers |
| 20–24 | Lingering Rage | 5/5 | Fury | Rage starts to decay 2–10 sec later after combat |
| 25–29 | Enrage | 5/5 | Fury | 30% chance when you are hit: 2–10% more Physical damage for 12 sec. No longer needed for Flurry |
| 30 | Death Wish | 1/1 | Fury | 10 Rage, 3-min cooldown: +20% Physical damage and Fear immunity for 30 sec, but you take 5% more. The 21-point milestone and the gate to Flurry |
| 31–32 | Improved Berserker Rage | 2/2 | Fury | Berserker Rage gives Rage (10 at 2/2) and breaks movement impairments |
| 33 | Raging Blows | 1/1 | Fury | Cleave and Whirlwind cost 3 less Rage |
| 34 | Piercing Howl | 1/1 | Fury | 10 Rage: enemies within 10 yds are slowed 50% for 6 sec |
| 35–39 | Flurry | 5/5 | Fury | +25% attack speed for 3 swings. Needs Death Wish and 25 Fury points, so level 35 at the earliest |
| 40 | Bloodthirst | 1/1 | Fury | 30 Rage, 6-sec cooldown: 45% of Attack Power plus a flat amount, and +10% movement speed for 10 sec. The 31st Fury point |
| 41–42 | Gore Drinker | 2/2 | Fury | Needs Enrage 5/5. After Enrage, Berserker Rage, Bloodrage, Death Wish or Bloodthirst your next 3 hits heal you for 0.5/1% of your health |
| 43–45 | Improved Heroic Strike | 3/3 | Arms | Heroic Strike costs 3 less Rage at 3/3 |
| 46–48 | Improved Rend | 3/3 | Arms | 12/23/35% more Rend damage. Needed for Deep Wounds |
| 49–50 | Improved Charge | 2/2 | Arms | Charge generates 6 more Rage at 2/2 |
| 51–52 | Improved Overpower | 2/2 | Arms | +50% crit on Overpower at 2/2 |
| 53–55 | Deep Wounds | 3/3 | Arms | Your crits bleed for 60% of your weapon's average damage over 12 sec. Needs Improved Rend 3/3 |
| 56–57 | Deflection | 2/5 | Arms | Arms row 1, more parry |
| 58–60 | Two-Handed Weapon Specialization | 3/3 | Arms | +1/2/3% two-handed damage |
WoW Forever DB's order (client 70532)
This is the order WoW Forever DB labels an "untested pick". It ends at 15/36/0 and takes Arms points early, so Bloodthirst lands at 49, not 40.

| 22–23 | Improved Charge 2/2 | Arms |
| 24–28 | Unbridled Wrath 5/5 | Fury |
| 29–31 | Furious Precision 3/3 | Fury |
| 32–33 | Blood Craze 2/3 | Fury |
| 34 | Raging Blows | Fury |

stillsixty's level 30 order (Sept 28–29)
stillsixty only publishes a level-by-level order to 30: Cruelty 5/5 (10–14), Unbridled Wrath 5/5 (15–19), Piercing Howl (20), Blood Craze 3/3 (21–23), Lingering Rage 1/5 (24), Enrage 5/5 (25–29) and Death Wish (30). Its 31–60 tabs give builds, not orders. WoW Forever DB's "tested in beta" level 30 build is also 0/21/0 (Cruelty 5, Lingering Rage 1, Unbridled Wrath 5, Furious Precision 3, Piercing Howl 1, Dual Wield Specialization 5, Death Wish 1).
Where the guides differ
- Bloodthirst at 40 or at 49? Elitistgaming, TopBuilds and stillsixty all put it at 40, which means 31 straight Fury points. WoW Forever DB's leveling order spends 15 early points in Arms (Improved Rend, Deflection, Overpower, Charge) and reaches Bloodthirst at 49, and Death Wish at 39. Its own level-30 build takes Death Wish at 30, so the two WoW Forever DB lists don't agree with each other. We follow the 40/30 version because three sites and WoW Forever DB's level-30 build agree on Death Wish at 30. If you take the early Arms points, you trade Death Wish and Bloodthirst for Improved Rend, Deflection, Overpower and Charge.
- What to take at 20–29: Elitistgaming goes Blood Craze, Piercing Howl, one Furious Precision, then Dual Wield Specialization. stillsixty goes Piercing Howl, Blood Craze, one Lingering Rage and Enrage 5/5. TopBuilds puts Lingering Rage 5/5 and Enrage 5/5 there. WoW Forever DB's level-30 build takes Furious Precision 3/3 and Dual Wield Specialization 5/5 with Lingering Rage and Piercing Howl.
- Leveling weapon: WoW Forever DB says to use a two-hander until 20 and dual-wield after. stillsixty says Fury levels with a two-hander and has a separate two-hander level-60 build. Elitistgaming's order takes Dual Wield Specialization at 25–29, which only makes sense with two weapons.
- Furious Precision: WoW Forever DB's client says +4/7/10% off-hand hit, stillsixty says up to +10%, and Elitistgaming's text says 4% per rank. We use 10% at 3/3, which two sources give.
- Bloodthirst's flat bonus: 45% of Attack Power plus 30 (Elitistgaming and stillsixty, build 70338) or plus 48 (WoW Forever DB's client 70532). It may have changed. Check your tooltip.
- Stale advice to ignore: stillsixty (Sept 29) still mentions Improved Cleave and "Slam until 41", and says a crit gives no extra Rage. The Oct 2 build removed Improved Cleave, Precision and Boundless Rage, and made basic-attack crits give 100% more Rage. WoW Forever DB's Fury leveling page also repeats its Arms boilerplate ("Level as Arms with the slowest two-hander"), which is a quirk of the site and not Fury advice.
What Fury looks like now (Oct 2 rework)
- Whirlwind always hits with both weapons, so Raging Blows now just makes Cleave and Whirlwind 3 Rage cheaper.
- Flurry needs Death Wish, not Enrage. Enrage is a 30% chance when you are hit to do 2–10% more damage for 12 sec.
- Bloodthirst is 45% Attack Power plus a flat amount, gives 10% movement speed for 10 sec and no longer needs Death Wish.
- Death Wish is now the 21-point milestone and the gate to Flurry. It makes you take 5% more damage while it lasts.
- Dual Wield Specialization no longer gives hit. Furious Precision (new) is the only hit talent, and it only helps the off-hand. Precision, Boundless Rage and Improved Cleave are gone.
- New talents: Lingering Rage, Furious Precision, Gore Drinker.
- Booming Voice also cuts shout Rage costs by 5–25%, and Raging Blows now makes Cleave and Whirlwind cost 3 less Rage.
Rage and the leveling pull
- From your hits: Rage depends on your weapon's speed, not the damage you deal (Blizzard). A slower weapon gives more Rage per swing (WoW Forever DB). Cruelty and Unbridled Wrath come first because they feed this.
- Crits: a crit with a basic attack gives 100% more Rage (Blizzard, Oct 1). stillsixty's Sept 29 page still says crits give no extra Rage, which is out of date.
- From taking hits: the Oct 8 build fixed three bugs (Rage from damage had used your health, so more Stamina meant less Rage). Blizzard says the typical Warrior should now get more Rage from being hit.
- Heroic Strike and Cleave replace your next normal swing. Icy Veins says that swing then gives no Rage, so they cost more than their price. WoW Forever DB says to use Heroic Strike only with Rage to spare, and that a queued Heroic Strike no longer raises off-hand hit.
- Lingering Rage starts the Rage decay 2–10 sec later after combat, so you carry Rage into the next pull.
- Rage on demand: Charge gives Rage (6 more at Improved Charge 2/2), and Bloodrage gives Rage at once, at a cost in health (ForeverDB).
The leveling pull (WoW Forever DB): Battle Shout up. Charge in Battle Stance, then fight in Battle or Berserker Stance. Rend on targets that live long enough (before 30), Victory Rush after every kill from 20, Slam from 20 when you have Rage spare, and Death Wish at 30 on hard pulls (+20% damage for 30 sec, you take 5% more). Execute below 20% in groups only; skip it while questing. Rend and Sunder Armor tag a mob instantly (Oct 1), so open with one on a contested quest mob.
The milestones that change how you play
- Level 4: Charge and Rend (stillsixty). Level 6: Thunder Clap, which hits up to 4 enemies and makes them attack 20% slower.
- Level 10: Defensive Stance, Sunder Armor and Taunt from your race's class quest, plus Bloodrage from the trainer.
- Level 12: Overpower. Level 14: Tactical Mastery and Demoralizing Shout.
- Level 20: Victory Rush, Slam, Cleave and Retaliation. WoW Forever DB says Fury dual-wields from 20. Victory Rush can be used for 20 sec after you kill a non-trivial enemy, heals you for 10% of your maximum health, and has a 30-sec cooldown (Blizzard).
- Level 22: Intimidating Shout. Level 24: Execute. Level 26: Charge rank 2. Level 28: Shield Wall.
- Level 30: Berserker Stance and Intercept from the class quest The Affray, plus Berserker Rage (WoW Forever DB: moved from 32 to 30 on Oct 2) and Death Wish if you follow the 40/30 order above.
- Level 36: Whirlwind (Berserker Stance only). Level 38: Pummel. Level 40: Bloodthirst (earliest, with 31 Fury points), plate armour and dual spec. Level 50: Recklessness.
Levels 31–60: what you train, where you go and how the build ends
What the trainer teaches (stillsixty's table from the client's trainer data). Berserker Rage isn't in the table because WoW Forever DB says it moved to level 30 on Oct 2. WoW Forever DB's per-band lists agree with every row we compared. stillsixty lists the 31-point talent as "Mortal Strike or Bloodthirst", and we show it as Bloodthirst. The rows to look for are 36 (Whirlwind), 38 (Pummel), 50 (Recklessness) and the Bloodthirst ranks at 48, 54 and 60.
| Level | New abilities and ranks |
|---|---|
| 32 | Berserker Rage, Battle Shout rank 4, Execute rank 2, Hamstring rank 2, Heroic Strike rank 5, Shield Bash rank 2. |
| 34 | Demoralizing Shout rank 3, Revenge rank 3, Sunder Armor rank 3. |
| 36 | Whirlwind (Berserker Stance), Mocking Blow rank 3. |
| 38 | Pummel, Slam rank 3, Thunder Clap rank 4. |
| 40 | Cleave rank 3, Execute rank 3, Heroic Strike rank 6, Rend rank 5. |
| 42 | Battle Shout rank 5, Intercept rank 2. |
| 44 | Overpower rank 3, Demoralizing Shout rank 4, Revenge rank 4. |
| 46 | Charge rank 3 (15 Rage), Slam rank 4, Sunder Armor rank 4, Mocking Blow rank 4. |
| 48 | Bloodthirst rank 2, Execute rank 4, Heroic Strike rank 7, Thunder Clap rank 5. |
| 50 | Recklessness, Cleave rank 4, Rend rank 6. |
| 52 | Battle Shout rank 6, Intercept rank 3, Shield Bash rank 3. |
| 54 | Bloodthirst rank 3, Hamstring rank 3, Slam rank 5, Demoralizing Shout rank 5, Revenge rank 5. |
| 56 | Execute rank 5, Heroic Strike rank 8, Mocking Blow rank 5. |
| 58 | Pummel rank 2, Sunder Armor rank 5, Thunder Clap rank 6. |
| 60 | Battle Shout rank 7, Bloodthirst rank 4, Cleave rank 5, Heroic Strike rank 9, Overpower rank 4, Rend rank 7. |
Where to go (WoW Forever DB's Classic-style routing on Forever's zone levels, not yet played past 30):
| Levels | Zones | Dungeons it lists for the band |
|---|---|---|
| 31–40 | Arathi Highlands (30–40), Stranglethorn Vale (30–44), Desolace (30–39), Alterac (27–39), then Dustwallow Marsh, the Badlands and Swamp of Sorrows (36–45). Riverglades (36–44) is a new contested zone with over 150 quests (announced) | Scarlet Monastery wings, The Drowned City 35–40 (new), Razorfen Downs, Uldaman |
| 41–50 | Tanaris, Feralas, the Hinterlands, Searing Gorge and Azshara | Krol'dok Stronghold 40–45 (new), Uldaman, Zul'Farrak, Maraudon, Alcaz Prison 48–53 (new) |
| 51–60 | Un'Goro Crater, Felwood, Burning Steppes, Western and Eastern Plaguelands, Winterspring and Silithus | Sunken Temple, Blackrock Depths, Dire Maul, Blackmaw Hold 55–60 (new), Lower Blackrock Spire, Scholomance, Stratholme, Shaper's Terrace 58–60 (new) |
What each band asks of you (WoW Forever DB):
- 31–40: Whirlwind at 36, Pummel at 38, Bloodthirst at 40 (the 31st Fury point), with Flurry at 35–39 in the Elitistgaming and TopBuilds orders. Dual spec and plate at 40. The Whirlwind weapon chain runs through this band (see "Weapons on the way up").
- 41–50: Elitistgaming's order spends these on Arms (Improved Heroic Strike, Deflection, Improved Tactical Mastery, Anger Management), and you get Recklessness at 50.
- 51–60: Improved Rend, Deep Wounds and Impale for your crits, and the last Enrage point at 60 in Elitistgaming's order.

The loop at 60
WoW Forever DB's projection (top to bottom: use the first one that applies; the client data isn't yet confirmed in game for most of it):
- Battle Shout kept up, in Berserker Stance.
- Death Wish with Recklessness and trinkets, ideally in the execute phase. Pool Rage before you press Death Wish.
- Bloodrage on cooldown.
- Execute below 20% health.
- Bloodthirst on cooldown.
- Whirlwind on cooldown (it always hits with both weapons).
- Heroic Strike with spare Rage. Hamstring too, for Flurry procs.
Packs: Sweeping Strikes if you have it (only the 21/30 variant), in Battle Stance. Whirlwind on cooldown (Raging Blows makes it 3 Rage cheaper), Cleave as the Rage dump, and Piercing Howl to stop a pack running.
stillsixty's version: Bloodthirst on cooldown, Whirlwind on cooldown (up to 4 targets), Execute under 20%, Heroic Strike above about 50 Rage (queued on the main hand, keeping 30 for Bloodthirst), Death Wish on the pull and on cooldown, and Recklessness for the execute phase.
Cooldowns and utility: Death Wish 3-min cooldown. Recklessness from 50, every 30 min: 100% crit for 15 sec, 20% more damage taken. Berserker Rage from 30 breaks fears and gives Rage when hit (and, with Gore Drinker, heals you). Pummel from 38. Intimidating Shout breaks up a pack that has gone wrong.
Stats at 60 (guides differ): WoW Forever DB's order is weapon damage, hit, crit, Strength, Agility and Stamina. stillsixty's dual-wield order is hit, Strength, crit, Agility and Weapon Skill, and its leveling order is weapon dps, Strength, Stamina, crit and Agility. Both put hit near the top. WoW Forever DB says hit is especially important while dual-wielding: a second weapon raises your miss chance by 19%, to about 27% at your level. Those are Classic's numbers, and Blizzard hasn't published Forever's hit table. Furious Precision only helps the off-hand, so main-hand hit comes from gear.
Consumables (stillsixty): Mighty Rage Potion, Mongoose, Juju and Crusader.
Fury in dungeons
- Give the tank a couple of seconds before you Heroic Strike or Cleave, because both cause extra threat (ForeverDB). stillsixty says Berserker Stance no longer reduces your threat, so watch the tank's lead and wait for them.
- Whirlwind hits up to 4 targets (stillsixty), and Cleave is your Rage dump on packs. Don't Cleave next to a crowd-controlled mob.
- Pummel is your interrupt from 38, in Berserker Stance. Berserker Rage and Death Wish give you fear immunity, and Intimidating Shout breaks up a pack that has gone wrong (stillsixty).
- Battle Shout reaches everyone now (Oct 15).
- Dual spec at 40 lets you keep a damage spec and a second spec.
- Dungeon kill XP went up about 20% on Oct 8, but dungeon quests give 50% less bonus XP since Oct 1 (WoW Forever DB says they still pay about 2.2 times Classic's).
Dungeons you can run from 24 to 60

| 29–38 | Gnomeregan | Dun Morogh | |
| 29–38 | Razorfen Kraul | The Barrens | |

The new-dungeon ranges and locations are from Blizzard's dungeon overview. The Classic ranges are from stillsixty's dungeon page. Forever's ranges are wide and several start later than in Classic, so plan from this list and not from memory. Blizzard's overview doesn't say which dungeons open on day one. Third-party trackers (wowforever.ninja, LFCarry) list all nine new dungeons as available from Nov 4, but we haven't seen that from Blizzard itself, so treat it as likely and not confirmed.
Weapons on the way up
Use a two-hander until 20, then two weapons (WoW Forever DB). WoW Forever DB's dungeon list covers two-handers only. We found no source that lists one-handers for dual wield level by level, so look at damage per second first.
- 13–18: Ironforge Greathammer (Hall of Thanes, Alliance quest Old Ironforge Incursion).
- 16–20: Corpse Chopper (Ruins of Lordaeron), also Forsaken Greataxe (Horde quest from Brill) and Monstrous Cleaver (quest for both factions).
- 18–24: Hammerbone (new Horde quest, Wailing Caverns) and Smite's Mighty Hammer (Deadmines).
- 22–28: Arced War Axe (Shadowfang Keep), Strike of the Hydra (Blackfathom Deeps, needs 26) and Graverobber's Shovel (Stockade).
- 26–31: Ironwood Destroyer (Excavation Site: Wetlands, Alliance quest).
- 29–30: Corpsemaker (Razorfen Kraul) and Manual Crowd Pummeler (Gnomeregan).
- 30–40: the Whirlwind weapon. The Islander sends you to Klannoc Macleod on Fray Island, and The Affray (Big Will is level 33) teaches Berserker Stance. The rest of the chain ends with the level 40 elite Cyclonian (4,572 health, says Wowhead), so bring 2–3 friends. You then pick a Whirlwind Axe (3.60 speed), Sword (2.90) or Warhammer (3.40), all with +15 Strength and +14 Stamina. Wowhead says the chain assumes you're about 38, and WoW Forever DB says most players finish it nearer 37–40.
- 58: the Blacksmithing Arcanite Reaper (153–256 damage, 3.80 speed, 62 Attack Power, binds on equip) is a two-hander, so it matters for stillsixty's two-hander Fury build.
Professions: Mining + Blacksmithing is the pick at Icy Veins, wowf.io, WoW Forever DB and stillsixty for Warriors. See the Arms guide for the full list of professions, food and camps.
What changed in the beta builds
- Oct 16: Overpower now activates against much lower-level enemies.
- Oct 15: Battle Shout is raid-wide. Lingering Rage no longer stops health regeneration after combat (but see "Still unclear"), and Improved Berserker Rage now removes movement-impairing effects. Racials: Human Ruthless +2% crit, Orc Savage +1% crit and Blood Fury on a 3-min cooldown, Dwarf Earth Fury (2% crit damage and healing), Tauren Endurance (2% crit damage and healing, and +5% health per WoW Forever DB), Troll Regeneration 20%, Night Elf Quickness now stacks with other speed increases, Gnome Eureka! an 8-sec buff.
- Oct 8: the three Rage-from-damage-taken bugs were fixed. Weapon swaps within one global cooldown work again. Demoralizing Shout now has threat. Deep Wounds no longer scales with off-hand attack power.
- Oct 2: basic-attack crits give 100% more Rage. Fury was rebuilt (see above), Berserker Rage is learned at 30, and Booming Voice also cuts shout Rage costs.
- Oct 1: Rend and Sunder tag instantly.
Common mistakes
- Following a pre-Oct 2 Fury build. Improved Cleave, Precision and Boundless Rage are gone, and Flurry needs Death Wish and not Enrage.
- Skipping hit. Your off-hand misses far more than your main hand.
- Taking Arms points early and then wondering where Bloodthirst is. It needs 30 Fury points.
- Pressing Bloodrage before Charge (ForeverDB). You may not be able to Charge after it.
- Spamming Heroic Strike at low level. The swing it replaces gives no Rage (Icy Veins).
- Pulling in front of the tank with Cleave or Heroic Strike.
- Using Execute while questing. It eats all your Rage.
- Hugging the mob. It's a known beta issue that mobs can parry and block from behind at close range. WoW Forever DB suggests standing at the edge of melee range.
- Forgetting Berserker Stance for Whirlwind (36) and Pummel (38).
Still unclear
- Bloodthirst's flat bonus: +30 (Elitistgaming, stillsixty) or +48 (WoW Forever DB client 70532).
- Dual Wield Specialization's off-hand Rage: Blizzard's note removes the old 20–100% bonus but doesn't say whether a smaller bonus stays, and the client shows 10–50%. stillsixty and Elitistgaming describe +50% off-hand Rage at 5/5.
- Lingering Rage: WoW Forever DB says it no longer stops health regen after combat, but Bind on Forever says a server hotfix may put the old effect back.
- Bloodrage and combat: whether Bloodrage still puts you in combat, and so whether Charge after it works. WoW Forever DB lists this as open.
- Forever's hit table isn't published.
- Death Wish and Bloodthirst timing: all 31–60 content is untested. WoW Forever DB's two Fury lists disagree on when you get Death Wish and Bloodthirst.
- Recklessness at 50, the Whirlwind chain and the new zones and dungeons (Riverglades, The Drowned City, Krol'dok Stronghold, Alcaz Prison, Blackmaw Hold, Shaper's Terrace) come from client data and announcements.
