Restoration Druid Dungeon Healing in WoW: Forever — Level 30 Build, Rejuvenation & Swiftmend, Mana Tips & What Oct 15 Changed

This is our complete level 10–60 guide to Restoration Druid healing in dungeons. The other Druid guides: Druid starter guide, Balance leveling guide, Feral leveling guide, Bear tanking guide. The beta closed on October 23. Character creation opens October 27 and the game launches November 4, 2026 (3:00 p.m. PST) with a permanent level 60 cap. The beta stopped at level 30, so everything from level 31 to 60 below comes from the datamined talent trees and trainer lists and from published leveling plans. Nobody has played it yet, and we mark it that way.

The level 10–30 build and the healing rotation come from Wowhead, Icy Veins, stillsixty and WoW Forever DB, and they were tested in the beta. Everything from 31 to 60 is a plan from talent text and trainer lists. Data note: the last beta build was 1.60.1.70532 (Oct 22), which has the same talents, spells and items as the Oct 16 build 70450, plus hotfixes through Oct 23 (foreverchanges.pro). Blizzard can still change numbers before launch.

Why Resto is worth a look in Forever

  • Your HoTs can crit now. Since Sept 24, Rejuvenation, Tranquility and Wild Growth can land critical heals (Blizzard). Wowhead's level 30 rotation is built around rolling HoTs, then pausing to regen mana or help with damage.
  • Swiftmend no longer eats your HoT. It's a 16-point talent now, on a 15-second cooldown, and the Rejuvenation or Regrowth keeps ticking (stillsixty, WoW Forever DB, wowforevertierlist).
  • Regrowth is cheap. wowforevertierlist says it costs much less than in Classic, with more healing up front, so it's no longer a spell to avoid.
  • You're the curse and poison cleanser. Remove Curse (24) and Abolish Poison (26) answer things the Priest and Paladin can't, though you have no Magic or Disease removal (WoW Forever DB).

The weak spots: HoTs are slow against sudden tank spikes, Healing Touch is a 3-second cast even with Naturalist, and you have no absorb. wowforevertierlist ranks Resto A for dungeons, behind Holy Priest. WoW Forever DB's level 60 forecast has it at B, mostly because of tank healing and mana per pull.

Talents at level 30 (the tested part)

Every guide goes deep Restoration for Swiftmend and Nature's Swiftness. stillsixty's 21-point dungeon order:

  • 10–14: Nature's Focus 5/5 (70% chance to avoid pushback on Nature and Arcane spells)
  • 15–19: Naturalist 5/5 (Healing Touch 0.5 sec faster, +5% damage; needed for Nature's Swiftness)
  • 20–22: Reflection 3/3 (50% of your mana regen continues while casting)
  • 23–24: Gift of Nature 2/5 (+4% healing)
  • 25–27: Improved Rejuvenation 3/3 (+15% Rejuvenation healing)
  • 28: Swiftmend
  • 29: Gift of the Earthmother (Rejuvenation, Swiftmend and Wild Growth get a 1-second global cooldown)
  • 30: Nature's Swiftness (your next Nature spell is instant)

Where the others differ:

  • Wowhead also goes all Restoration, but takes Gift of Nature over Improved Rejuvenation because it helps every heal. If you cast Rejuvenation a lot, it suggests 3/3 Improved Rejuvenation and 2/5 Gift of Nature. With Legacy's Talented (+5 points), it adds Improved Tranquility: no threat and a 60% shorter cooldown, which brings Tranquility to 2 minutes. Wowhead sums it up as a "threatless AoE heal on a 2-minute cooldown".
  • Wowhead's Deep Balance option heals with Rejuvenation and Regrowth boosted by Genesis (+5% periodic healing), Nature's Majesty and Nature's Splendor (Rejuvenation +3 sec, Regrowth +6 sec), and does damage with Insect Swarm and Entangling Roots. It suits players who quest solo a lot.
  • Icy Veins' dungeon build skips Improved Wrath to get Gift of the Earthmother at 20 and and Swiftmend at 30. Its World Content build goes into Balance first for Improved Wrath.
  • stillsixty's swaps: take 5/5 Furor instead of Nature's Focus if you're leveling solo, and drop Gift of the Earthmother for a third rank of Gift of Nature with an overgeared tank who never spikes.
  • Threat: wowforevertierlist rates Subtlety (-30% Nature and Arcane threat) as strong, to keep a fresh tank's mobs off you on the first pull.

Talent order, levels 10–60

Two full orders have been published. Neither is tested past 30.

Icy Veins' Restoration leveling build (page; checked against the current talent data):

LevelTalent (tree)RankWhat it does (talent text)
10–14Improved Wrath (Balance)5/5Reduces the cast time of your Wrath spell by 0.5 second and its Mana cost by 50%.
15–16Nature's Reach (Balance)2/2Increases the range of your offensive Balance spells by 20% and improves your chance to hit by 4%.
17–21Nature's Focus (Restoration)5/5Gives your Arcane and Nature spells a 70% chance to not lose casting time when you take damage.
22–26Naturalist (Restoration)5/5Reduces the cast time of your Healing Touch spell by 0.5 second and increases all damage you deal by 5%.
27Gift of the Earthmother (Restoration)1/1Reduces the global cooldown by 0.5 seconds on your Rejuvenation, Swiftmend, and Wild Growth spells.
28–30Reflection (Restoration)3/3Allows 50% of your Mana regeneration to continue while casting.
31Gift of Nature (Restoration)1/5Increases the effect of all your healing spells by 2%.
32Swiftmend (Restoration)1/1Instantly heals a target with an active Rejuvenation or Regrowth effect for an amount equal to the full duration of the periodic effect of one of those spells.
33–36Gift of Nature (Restoration)5/5Increases the effect of all your healing spells by 10%.
37Nature's Swiftness (Restoration)1/1When activated, your next Nature spell becomes an instant cast spell.
38–40Living Spirit (Restoration)3/3Increases your Spirit by 15%.
41–43Improved Rejuvenation (Restoration)3/3Increases the effect of your Rejuvenation spell by 15%.
44–48Improved Regrowth (Restoration)5/5Increases the critical effect chance of your Regrowth spell by 50%.
49Wild Growth (Restoration)1/1Heals the target and their party for 280 over 7 seconds. Party members must be within 43 yards of target. The amount healed is applied quickly at first, and slows down…
50–51Nature's Majesty (Balance)2/2Increases your critical strike chance with spells and melee attacks by 4%.
52Moonglow (Balance)1/3Reduces the Mana cost of your damaging spells by 8%.
53Nature's Splendor (Balance)1/1Increases the duration of your Moonfire and Rejuvenation spells by 3 sec, your Regrowth spell by 6 sec, and your Insect Swarm spell by 2 seconds.
54–55Moonglow (Balance)3/3Reduces the Mana cost of your damaging spells by 25%.
56–57Improved Moonfire (Balance)2/2Increases the damage and critical strike chance of your Moonfire spell by 10%.
58Insect Swarm (Balance)1/1The enemy target is swarmed by insects, decreasing their chance to hit with attacks by 2% and causing 48 Nature damage over 12 seconds.
59–60Heart of the Wild (Feral Combat)2/5Increases your Intellect by 4%. In addition, while in Bear Form or Dire Bear Form your Stamina is increased by 8% and while in Cat Form your Strength is increased by 4%.

WoW Forever DB's Restoration order: Improved Wrath 4/5 (10–13), Heart of the Wild 5/5 (14–18), Feral Swiftness 2/2 (19–20), Improved Wrath 5/5 (21), Nature's Focus 5/5 (22–26), Naturalist 5/5 (27–31), Reflection 3/3 (32–34), Gift of Nature 5/5 (35–39), Gift of the Earthmother (40), Improved Rejuvenation 3/3 (41–43), Nature's Swiftness (44), Swiftmend (45), Living Spirit 3/3 (46–48), Improved Regrowth 5/5 (49–53), Wild Growth (54), Tranquil Spirit 5/5 (55–59) and Subtlety (60). (page)

How they differ: Icy Veins gets Swiftmend at 32, Nature's Swiftness at 37 and Wild Growth at 49 by going deep into Restoration after a Balance start (Improved Wrath, Nature's Reach). WoW Forever DB levels with Feral and Balance talents first, so Swiftmend comes at 45 and Wild Growth at 54. The dungeon builds in the section above (Wowhead, stillsixty) go Restoration from 10 and reach Swiftmend at 28. If you heal dungeons from 30, follow those and then continue with Icy Veins' order from 31. Icy Veins also says the last points are flexible: Genesis or Heart of the Wild.

Note: the Restoration build on Icy Veins' PvE healer page no longer matches the current talent data, so we used its leveling page.

Your toolkit by level

  • 1: Healing Touch and Mark of the Wild. 4: Rejuvenation. 12: Regrowth and Revive, a new out-of-combat resurrection with no reagent.
  • 14: Cure Poison, from a class quest. Icy Veins says groups will expect you to have it.
  • 20: Rebirth, the in-combat resurrection, and Omen of Clarity, which is baseline now.
  • 24: Remove Curse. 26: Abolish Poison. 30: Tranquility.
  • Talents: Gift of the Earthmother at 11 points, Swiftmend at 16, Nature's Swiftness at 21 and Wild Growth at 31, so level 40 at the earliest (wowforevertierlist). Talented can bring each one up to five levels sooner.
  • Past the cap: Innervate at 40, Barkskin at 44 and Gift of the Wild at 50 (WoW Forever DB, Wowhead).

Levels 31–60: what changes

  • 10: Bear Form, Maul, Growl, Demoralizing Roar, Nature's Grasp, Teleport: Moonglade. 12: Enrage, Regrowth, Revive. 14: Bash, Cure Poison (quest). 16: Swipe, Aquatic Form. 18: Faerie Fire, Hibernate.
  • 20: Cat Form, Prowl, Claw, Rip, Shred, Omen of Clarity, Starfire, Rebirth. 24: Rake, Remove Curse. 26: Dash, Abolish Poison. 28: Challenging Roar, Cower. 30: Travel Form, Tranquility.
  • 32: Ferocious Bite, Ravage, Track Humanoids. 36: Pounce, Frenzied Regeneration, Primal Bite rank 2. 38: higher ranks of Hibernate and Soothe Animal.
  • 40: Dire Bear Form, Moonkin Form (Balance talent), Hurricane, Innervate, Feline Grace, dual spec. 42: Lacerate. 44: Barkskin.
  • 50: Gift of the Wild (a book, per stillsixty) and Wild Growth rank 2. 52: the Druid quest chain in Un'Goro starts with Torwa Pathfinder (Toxic Test, Bloodpetal Poison, A Better Ingredient in the Sunken Temple). 55–60: Moonglade is a leveling zone for Druids. 60: top ranks of Hurricane, Wild Growth and Tranquility.

Trainer levels are from wowforever.one's Druid spell list and WoW Forever DB's Druid leveling pages. Anything after level 30 is a data listing, not tested in play. Icy Veins' healing order for leveling: Rejuvenation on the tank, Regrowth, Healing Touch, Swiftmend, Tranquility, then Innervate once you have it at 40. Barkskin (44) is usable in form, and Rebirth is your combat resurrection from 20.

The pull

From Wowhead, stillsixty, Icy Veins and WoW Forever DB:

  • Before the run: Thorns and Mark of the Wild on the tank. Mark of the Wild lasts an hour and has Improved Mark of the Wild built in (stillsixty).
  • Rejuvenation on the tank as they engage. It's instant, and with Gift of the Earthmother it costs only a 1-second global cooldown.
  • Let the tank build threat first. Healing threat goes to every mob in the fight, so a big heal in the first seconds pulls them onto you (stillsixty).
  • Regrowth once the tank takes steady damage. stillsixty says under 80%. Wowhead starts with Regrowth for any direct heal and fills the gaps with lower ranks of Healing Touch.
  • Swiftmend on a spike. If there's no HoT on the target yet, cast Rejuvenation and then Swiftmend a second later. Wowhead calls that a 1-second save (also Icy Veins).
  • Nature's Swiftness + max-rank Healing Touch when Swiftmend is down or the tank is about to die.
  • Tranquility when the whole party is hurt or the pull goes wrong. It heals everyone within 20 yards, but it's a channel, so moving ends it, and at 30 it's on a 5-minute cooldown.
  • Spare mana? Rejuvenation on anyone else taking damage, then help with damage: Moonfire and Wrath, Insect Swarm and Roots in the Balance build, or Cat Form (Wowhead, Icy Veins).

Dispels and control: Abolish Poison keeps cleansing every 2 seconds for 8 seconds, so it handles mobs that keep reapplying a poison. Entangling Roots now works indoors and can hold a loose mob while the tank recovers. Hibernate sleeps Beasts and Dragonkin (Wowhead, stillsixty, wowforevertierlist).

Zones, 31–60

This is Classic routing laid over Forever's zone levels, from WoW Forever DB. The new Forever zones (Riverglades, Hyjal and others) weren't playable past level 30 in the beta, so their level ranges are announced, not tested.

  • 31–40: Arathi Highlands, Stranglethorn Vale, Desolace and Alterac (30–40), then Dustwallow Marsh, Badlands and Swamp of Sorrows. Riverglades, a new contested zone, is announced for about 35–45.
  • 41–50: Tanaris, Feralas, the Hinterlands, Searing Gorge, Swamp of Sorrows and Azshara.
  • 51–60: Un'Goro Crater, Felwood, Burning Steppes, the Western and Eastern Plaguelands, Winterspring and Silithus.

Healing Druids level slowly solo, and Icy Veins calls Restoration slower to level than the other specs. Reflection gives regen while casting, and dual spec at 40 lets you keep a Feral or Balance set for questing.

Dungeons, 31–60

DungeonLevel range (Blizzard)Where

Those nine are the new dungeons. The older Classic dungeons are in Forever too, and Icy Veins' dungeon overview (updated Oct 24) gives their ranges: Razorfen Downs 37–46, Scarlet Monastery Armory 36–44 and Cathedral 38–46, Uldaman 41–51, Zul'Farrak 44–54, Maraudon 46–55, Sunken Temple 50–60, Blackrock Depths 52–60, Dire Maul 54–60 (East) and 56–60 (North, West), Lower Blackrock Spire 55–60, Scholomance 58–60, Stratholme 58–60 and Upper Blackrock Spire 59–60. Other sites list slightly different ranges for the same dungeons (for example the Hall of Thanes as 13–18 versus 13–20), so treat any range as a guide. Only dungeons up to level 30 were open in the beta. Do each dungeon once with its quests in the log, since dungeon quests now carry most of the XP and spamming runs is no longer the fastest way up (Icy Veins).

Mana

  • Drink between pulls whenever you're under 70%, and tell the tank (stillsixty).
  • Spend Omen of Clarity procs on a max-rank Regrowth or Healing Touch (Wowhead).
  • Be careful with downranking. Wowhead's Oct 6 guide says to downrank heals in dungeons. Since Oct 1, though, Blizzard says spells cast at ranks "vastly below your current level" get less from your healing power and are less likely to trigger talents like Omen of Clarity. wowforevertierlist suggests using cheaper spells like Regrowth instead of much lower ranks. A rank or two down should still be fine. Very old ranks lose a lot.
  • Shifting between fights costs a lot. Cat and Bear Form were reported at 55% of base mana on the beta. Natural Shapeshifter cuts that by 30% (wowforevertierlist).
  • Skip Moonglow for healing. It no longer makes heals cheaper (WoW Forever DB).

Stats, races and gear

Stats: stillsixty and WoW Forever DB both put healing power first, then Intellect, then Spirit. The only published level 30 weights (The Forever Era, cited by wowforevertierlist) rate crit highest, now that HoTs can crit. Haste speeds your casts but not HoT ticks (Icy Veins). Healing gear also gives one third of its bonus as spell damage, so you can quest in it.

Races:

  • Tauren: since Oct 15, Endurance gives 2% more crit damage and healing (it used to give 1% hit), and War Stomp is on a 90-second cooldown.
  • Night Elf: Shadowmeld, and Elune's Light adds 10% crit to your heals for 15 seconds (stillsixty).
  • Skyborne: Read Ley Line doubles health and mana regen. Since Oct 15, Wind Blessed gives 3% haste (stillsixty still lists 1%).

Gear at 30 (Wowhead):

  • Dungeons: Embalmed Shroud, Scorn's Icy Choker and Bloodmage Mantle (Scarlet Monastery), Death Speaker Robes, Wind Spirit Staff and Roogug's Severed Head (Razorfen Kraul), Royal Diplomatic Scepter, Gnomebot Operating Boots and Electrocutioner Lagnut (Gnomeregan), Bridgebreaker Bindings (Stockade), Skum's Bucket (Wailing Caverns), Healer's Staff (Excavation Site: Wetlands) and Worgenbane Talisman (Shadowfang Keep).
  • Quests: Doomsayer's Robe, Civinad Robes, Restorer's Fine Gloves, Everlast Boots and Explorers' League Commendation.
  • Crafted: Wisdom's Leather Helm, Wisdom's Leather Leggings and Mender's Leather Belt (Leatherworking), Pristine Leggings, Filigreed Pristine Circlet and Gilded Slippers (Tailoring), and Orb of Souls (Enchanting).
  • Campfire: Wowhead says to skip the Enchanted Lute, whose buff conflicts with Mark of the Wild. Look for the Mana Well (Alchemy), Incense Candle (Herbalism) and Faction Banner (Tailoring).

Level 60 and what comes next

Launch has nine five-player dungeons and no raids. Barrow Deeps (10 players), Hyjal Summit (20) and Onyxia's Lair (40) open on December 9, and all raids are planned to reset weekly. Onyxia's Lair needs the Drakefire Amulet to enter (Blizzard's raid overview). So the first five weeks are for reaching 60, gearing from dungeons and professions, and picking your Legacy perks. At 60 your 51 talent points are all spent and builds start to differ from leveling builds, so check a PvE guide once you get there.

Legacy is Forever's new account-style perk system: challenges such as reaching level 25, 45 and 60 on a class, completing every dungeon, exploring zones or clearing raids earn Legacy Points, which you spend in the Adventure, Professions and Resourcefulness trees. Perks like Well Rested (rested XP builds 4–20% faster and caps 4–20% higher) and Talented (talent steps come up to five levels sooner, per WoW Forever DB) are worth picking early (Icy Veins Legacy guide).

What changed in recent builds

  • Sept 24: Rejuvenation, Tranquility and Wild Growth can crit, Wrath does about 50% more damage, and Thorns scales with spell power.
  • Oct 1: Spells cast at ranks far below your level get less from healing power and trigger talents less often.
  • Oct 8: Thorns went back to Vanilla base damage, and its spell power ratio dropped to 6% (was 13.3%). You can drink Mana Potions in forms now, and Natural Instinct (Feral) also adds spell healing equal to up to 25% of your Intellect.
  • Oct 15 build (70425): A high-rank Rejuvenation no longer stops other Druids from putting their own Rejuvenation on the same target. Moonkin Aura and Leader of the Pack now cover the whole raid, and Tauren and Skyborne racials changed (see above).
  • Since then: The Oct 16 (70450) and Oct 22 (70532) builds didn't change any talents, spells or items. The Oct 18–23 hotfixes touched Priest, Mage, Hunter, Shaman and Paladin, with no Druid changes (foreverchanges.pro).

Still unclear

  • Do the old guides still hold? Wowhead's level 30 guide is from Oct 6 and Icy Veins' talent builds date back to September. Both came out before the Oct 15 changes, though neither has much in it that those changes affect.
  • Does Swiftmend keep the HoT? Most sources and our own starter guide say yes. A community guide on Wowhead (Oct 20) still says it "consumes your Rejuvenation or Regrowth". Check the tooltip on Oct 27.
  • The guides disagree on some numbers. Tranquility lasts 8 seconds (Wowhead) or 10 (stillsixty). Rebirth's cooldown is 20 minutes (Wowhead) or 30 (stillsixty, WoW Forever DB). Barkskin lasts 12 seconds (Wowhead) or 15 (stillsixty).
  • Wild Growth's healing isn't confirmed. Three beta sources list 336, while Endgame Tools gives 280 for rank 1 (via wowforevertierlist). WoW Forever DB marks Wild Growth as client data that hasn't been confirmed in game.
  • How much Thorns is still worth on the tank after the Oct 8 cut hasn't been retested in any guide we found.
  • Levels 31–60 are untested. The beta stopped at 30, so we haven't seen Wild Growth (a 31-point talent), Tranquility's higher ranks or Innervate in play.
  • Two published 10–60 orders disagree on Swiftmend (28–32 vs 45) and Wild Growth (49 vs 54).
  • Rebirth and Barkskin numbers come from trainer data (Barkskin lasts 15 seconds there), and older guides gave 12.

Sources

  • foreverchanges.pro: patch notes (Oct 23): the Oct 22 build 70532 has the same talents, spells and items as the Oct 16 build, and no Druid hotfixes since Oct 15
