Version 2.0 RC3 shipped on 12 October 2026 with medals and the members list, and the site has stayed on RC3 through 92 more commits to build 649 on 21 October. This post covers all of it, since the footer has read RC3 the whole way.

Medals and members

  • Leadership creates medals and awards them to members with a reason. The member gets a bell, and the first visit afterwards opens a night-and-gold dialog listing each award, who gave it and why.
  • Medals show on your forum card at 32 pixels and on your member page at 64, with the reason. The same medal can be held more than once and shows with its count.
  • /members: everybody active, 48 to a page, with search by name, a rank filter and rank or name order. It is public now: a guest sees the basic card a public thread shows them and nothing more.

Documents to sign

  • Leadership writes agreements in the site's markdown and sends a copy to a member to sign. The copy is frozen at send time, so a signed agreement never changes under its signer. Placeholders like [raid_name] fill themselves.
  • The member gets a bell and a Discord message, reads the copy, ticks "I have read it and agree" and types their name. Documents shows in the account menu while you have one waiting.

Seasonal themes

  • Halloween, Christmas, New Year, Easter, Canada Day, the 4th of July and a Veterans look in May and early November, plus the four seasons, as a layer over both the light and the dark theme. A holiday outranks a season. Visitors can switch a season off for themselves.
  • The browser chrome follows the visitor's theme, and the public header stays one row at every width.

Discord

  • News posts can go to the news webhook, opt-in per post, with a "Post to Discord" box in the editor and an honest record of whether the message landed.
  • Discord roles sync every fifteen minutes without anybody signing in again, with brakes that stop it from stripping the server on a bad answer.
  • Disabling your own account, or a ban, ends every session at once.

Under the hood

  • The Content Security Policy is enforced on every page; the report-only trial is over.
  • robots.txt is served by the site itself, with the Sitemap line.
  • The footer shows a build number beside the version and the commit: "v2.0 RC3 · build 649".
  • Forum pictures get WebP copies at four widths, which took /forums on a phone from 1.8 MB to a fraction of it.
  • Character names up to 48 characters, audit log entries kept two years as the privacy policy says, and the FPM access log without query strings.

Words and brand

  • Systematic is a World of Warcraft: Forever community first, Horde, PvP, with TBC Anniversary second. The front page, search titles, the sponsor page and the structured data say so.
  • The YouTube channel banner, "Mulgore by night", joins the brand kit beside Twitch and Discord.
  • A footer line that we are a fan community and not affiliated with Blizzard Entertainment.
