Version 2.0 RC1 shipped on 6 October 2026 after 41 commits in two days. It is the largest change to the site since the first build: every public page and every admin page in the night-and-gold look, saves that no longer reload the page, and a dashboard that watches the work behind the site.
The public site, in night and gold
- Settings (/profile) rebuilt: a night band with your crest ring and gilt name, a side index in five groups (You, Privacy & safety, Guild, Store, Your data), switches and choice rows, and a new Notifications tab where forum and stream alerts can be turned off.
- Your member page as the large tabard: your banner in your rank's colour, the avatar in a crest ring, your name gilded, the office, main character, Discord tenure, booster mark, game pills and badges, and the friendship buttons as the band's pills. Wall, Activity and Friends as one segmented control.
- Messages and Notifications in the same language. Sending a message appends it in place; the thread is never reloaded.
- Sign-in as a ladder of three rungs (Discord, Battle.net, Ask a human), with Discord's weather shown in the hero. One error page for every status, with the way out named.
- Events as a night hub and a month of day cards; event pages with the composition, who is coming, and sign-ups that save in place. Server time everywhere.
- Roster and Loot on night hubs with class-coloured tabard rows; the talent calculators in the same look.
- Shop, Donate, Redeem and Credits, and the module pages (Live, Music, maps and servers) completed in the same language.
Saving without a reload
- A form saves inside its own region of the page: the flash becomes a toast, the account chip, bell, message count and balance refresh, and the rest of the page stays where it was. Without JavaScript every form still posts and redirects as before.
The admin
- Every admin page in the dense night-and-gold look, the rail in crest night with queue badges for applications, character claims, failed deliveries and message reports.
- Settings centre: every setting on the site reachable from a numbered All settings index or the rail search, one page per form. Four settings that could only be changed by SQL have screens now.
- Every admin save in place, on the same engine as the public site.
- The dashboard as a board of cards: "Needs attention" with only the rows that have something in them, each linking to the page that clears it; Key analytics as honest counts with no percentages; a "Right now" strip kept current every 30 seconds; and Operations, the workers behind the site, each with its last run and its state. Two outages this autumn went unnoticed for weeks because nothing looked at the workers. Something does now.
Final review
- An erased account lets its characters go, stuck Battle.net characters can be released, Twitch and Minecraft can always be unlinked, and the privacy policy names only what the page has.
- Roll-back-safe payment switches, 44px admin targets, no redraw under focus, and every empty state shared across the site.
